WOAH! EXCITED!

I post books on Wattpad, along with poetry, and don’t tend to look at the number of reads as it didn’t seem to change dramatically. BUT! The last time I checked the number of reads for ‘Love on the run (from Zombies)’ it was at 3,000 ish reads.

IT’S NOW AT 13,700! How did this happen? How did I not notice?
So appreciative of everyone that has read it and commented. Please go take a gander and let me know what you think as I can’t improve without feedback!

Also there will be a second book in the series…at some point. It’s half written, but needs a lot of work (the story of my life!)

Laptop I hate you!

I have tried (unsuccessfully) to post on here for about a week and my laptop is not playing ball. I don’t know if it doesn’t like the site, or it just doesn’t like days ending in -day….urgh.

I’ve seen the possible covers for my book and am very excited. ‘Must Love Fangs’ on facebook is doing it for me, my problem is that all the options she shows me are great, so how am I supposed to choose? We’re looking at a Dec 22nd release and I am waaaaaay too impatient to wait that long! I will have a couple of copies to give away, but most will be available from Mystic Press etc. I will hopefully be flogging a tonne to family and friends too!

The e-book is gone from Amazon for the time being so it can be relaunched (Editted and everything! Unlike the last time where I paid £300 for it to be editted…BADLY!) Anyhoo, rant over.

Holy crap did you all see The Walking Dead? I’m in the UK so haven’t seen ep 2 (no spoilers) but I AM LOVING the extra Daryl action! I would quite honestly have sold a kidney to be Carol in that episode. Woah! Jealous much ;p

Block and stupid wrists

I was doing voluntary work at the primary school where my mum works and they had me covering and labelling books. I have no problem with boring repetitive jobs (all the more time to daydream about Norman Reedus) but it has caused me awful pains in my wrists. This means I can’t do any of the things I love I.E Pole (I’ve missed about three weeks now) or large amounts of typing. Not a happy bunny. This isn’t helped by the fact that the weather is rubbish! Grey skies from now until April I think urgh! On the plus side, I did see an awesome motivator that pointed out that girls don’t have to shave their legs until April lol. Unfortunately due to pole classes, I do shave. I shave more for my pole girls than I ever have for a guy. TMI, but c’est la vie. Can you tell I’m bored as I can’t write?

I’ve been reading a lot and finished ‘One Day’ by David Nicholls ridiculously quickly. It’s a sweet enough book and I’ll admit I did see a lot of myself in Emma Morley. Go read it, it’s good. I wasn’t happy with the ending, but there we go.

Other than not, nothing much to tell. The pubslush appeal has been ditched as it just wasn’t happening. I’m thinking of using Createspace to get ‘Of Darkness and Light’ into print, but I’m struggling with finding a cover designer. Don’t get me wrong, there are loads of talented peeps out there, but they’re not doing what I want. I’m picky, what can I say. I just figure if I’m going to do it, I should do it properly with something I am 100% happy with. If you know anyone awesome who can work within the constraints of createspace (I really have no clue how it works) get in contact. Bare in mind I’m poor so nothing ridiculously expensive, unless they will take a kidney as payment. I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs, so my kidney must be in pretty good condition. One careful owner….lol.

I woke up in Silent Hill today! It’s so foggy outside! Pretty cool though. I will be hiding out drinking green tea today I think (it’s vile, but so good for you I have to wait until it’s cool enough and down it!) blergh!

I’ve been uploading more chapters of ‘Love on the Run (From Zombies!) to Wattpad. I’m so annoyed! I spent ages typing out a post and the comp gave up and lost it! Anyway! I have posted one of my works on wattpad. The first two chapters are up, be aware that they haven’t been copy edited or anything like that, so there will be mistakes. I wrote this about five years ago, but it’s been doing the rounds and had no luck! I’ll post more chapters if it’s popular. Please spread the word and let me know honestly what you think.

I hate my computer!

Sorry for the lack of posts, but my lappy hasn’t been able to cope with WP for some reason! It’s been completely useless, but for now it seems to be playing ball so I will take advantage!

Not much to tell in the way of writing as I’m working on a few things. I’m hoping to send out one book for a critique soon, it;s the one I’ve sent out to my Beta readers and I think it’s the most complete book I have so far. Of Darkness and Light is driving me a little mental at the moment as I can’t bring myself to reread it to even think about the follow up ‘Of Blood and Feathers’ as I have read it so many times! No more! Not for the moment anyway!

Other than that, not much to tell though I do have some suggestions if you’re bored;

As I waste waaaaay too much time on them. On a plus, apparently it’s been scientifically proven that looking at pictures of cute animals makes you more productive. That has to be a lie as if I look at cute animals, I then look up more cute animals, and more and more until it’s been three hours and I have no idea where the time went!

I’m currently reading ‘Jin-shei’ by Alma Alexander, which I’ve read before but found a copy of so thought I’d reread it. I also started the ‘Flowers in the Attic’ series by Virginia Andrews. I’ve finished the second book, but don’t know if I can bring myself to read the third as I just want to punch Cathy in the face repeatedly!

As the weather gets crappier, I thought I’d share my uber secret recipe for VEGAN hot chocolate. I honestly think it tastes better than the normal kinds I used to drink before I turned Vegan. By super secret, I mean I stole it mwahahahhahahaha!

I use rice milk as it’s sweet, but soya, almond and other fake milks work just as well, but they will affect the taste.

Mug of rice milk, chuck it in pan (not the mug, just the milk), chuck in vanilla essence (I use one measure of the cap as the bottles tend to be quite small, then agave syrup (I found this in the whole foods section, it’s made from cacti which sounds gross, but it’s really nice and low GI) I personally just throw it in without measuring. Once it boils, mix in a tablespoon (obv depends on how big the mug is as you may need more or less) of cocoa power. I use Bournville as it’s gorgeous! Make sure it’s all mixed in properly and then drink when cool enough! Booyah! Ensure you’re curled up with a good book whilst drinking!

Also! I am utterly, utterly in love with Fightstar at the moment. Trust me to re-love them when they’re on long term Hiatus! They’re a Brit band and I had their album ‘Grand Unification’ but had never bothered to look up the others. THEY’RE AMASING! To get a feel for them, look up ‘Floods’, ‘The English Way’, ‘Waste a Moment’, ‘Tonight we Burn’. ‘Unfamiliar ceilings’. So good! Their lead singer Charlie Simpson also has a solo album called ‘Young Pilgrim’ which I also adore! Look up ‘thorns’ it is such a sweet song!

Unfortunately my Reedus addiction only seems to get worse on a daily basis, so BOOM;
